PJM Rescue – Suspected Heart Attack Emergency | 27 August 2026
At 07:14 hrs on 27 August 2026, PJM Rescue received an emergency call from one of our paid-up resort members regarding a 70-year-old male with a suspected heart attack.
The PJM Rescue Captain, doctor and crew were immediately assembled and departed to assist the patient. Despite rough weather conditions, the team crossed Lake Kariba and arrived at approximately 08:24 hrs.
The patient was assessed, attended to and stabilised by the PJM Rescue doctor before being transferred back for further medical attention at the Kariba medical facility.
In a suspected cardiac emergency, early professional medical intervention and rapid transfer to appropriate medical care can be critical. Having the PJM Rescue team available to respond without delay provided the patient with prompt access to medical assistance.
